Welcome to Pro Train Darlington - Inspiring young talent

Founded in 2025 by myself, a former professional player for Middlesbrough and Liverpool and ex-manager of Darlington with an extensive track record in football management, Pro Train Darlington is dedicated to fostering young talent and instilling a passion for the game in aspiring footballers. With over 450 management appearances, I have achieved significant success, including League titles, The European Cup, and five Domestic Trophies.

The academy focuses on providing comprehensive training programs for young players aged 10 to 16, offering them a unique insight into the rigorous training regimens undertaken by professional players across various leagues. Having been coached by some of the most esteemed figures in professional football, including Terry Venables, Dave Sexton, and Howard Wilkinson, as well as caring club managers such as John Neal, Ron Atkinson, Ken Brown, Bob Paisley, and Joe Fagan, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our training sessions.

In addition to my player and managerial career spanning 15 years, I have traveled the world to identify young talent, successfully scouting players under the age of 20, 18, and 16. My notable record includes identifying 44 players in South America, with 32 transferring to European clubs and 16 going on to compete in the World Cup.

My mission is to ensure that every gifted player training within our program receives the attention and development they deserve, allowing them to express themselves and reach their full potential.
